Please hold the cake underneath the board, carrying it flat.

Holding the box by the sides will damage the cake.

Travel
  • When collecting or transporting you cake, please place it on a flat surface (usually the boot or passenger footwell is a good place for travelling) and ensure the cake is kept cool.
  • DO NOT place the cake on the seat as these are not flat.
  • Ensure your car is cool and travel with air conditioning on.
  • Go straight to your destinations with the cake, please do not stop off and leave the cake in the car for longer than necessary.

Storage
  • We recommend you keep your cake in a cool place / room temperate. Refrigerating cake can make it dry out faster than at room temperature.
  • On hot days or when the heating is on, the warmth can cause the buttercream to melt, so loosing the finish of the cake. If your cake has buttercream decoration, store it in a cool place until you are ready to cut.
  • Avoid refrigerating cakes decorated with fondant, as the fondant can ‘sweat’.

We recommend consuming cake within 3-5 days, and for cupcakes 2-3 days.

Please check you are happy with the finished decoration. After the cake has been collected or delivered the Bluebird Bakery is unable to accept liability for any interference with or damage to the cake thereafter.
